About Therapy With Kaitlin Illingworth
You’re Supposed to Have This Figured Out by Now
You can be figuring out who you are and still need help getting through the week.
College, work, relationships, and the move into independent adulthood look exciting from the outside while feeling surprisingly disorienting from the inside.
Decisions that everyone else seems to make easily take you days. You question yourself constantly, and confidence shows up some mornings and skips others without giving you a reason.
Where you fit is still an open question. Relationships keep bringing out parts of you that you don’t entirely understand, and there’s no obvious place to put that.

Talk Seriously About What Hurts
Sessions with Kaitlin are meant to feel approachable rather than intimidating.
There’s room to talk seriously about what hurts without making every session painfully serious.
Expect warmth, humor when it fits, and real interest in the larger context of your life.
Your symptoms get attention, and so do your friendships, the decisions in front of you, and the version of your life you thought you’d be living.
You Build Confidence in How You Respond
The work is collaborative and strengths-based, which means what you’re already doing well counts as material.
Together you and Kaitlin look at the patterns underneath your anxiety, stress, self-esteem, relationship conflict, and identity. What comes out of that is more confidence in how you respond to them.
Somebody else’s definition of adulthood is easy to borrow and hard to live inside. The work here builds your own: getting clearer about what you actually value, trusting yourself more often, feeling better equipped for whatever comes next.

About Kaitlin C. Illingworth, LMHC
Hi, I’m Kaitlin. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and I especially enjoy working with older teens, college students, young adults, and adults dealing with anxiety, stress, self-esteem, relationships, identity, and major transitions.
I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Salve Regina University. My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, inclusive, and tailored to the unique needs of each person I work with.
Therapy can be vulnerable and awkward sometimes. I like bringing some authenticity and humor into the room so it can also feel human.

Tell Us Where You’d Like This to Move
You don’t need the whole thing figured out before you write to us.
Some people know exactly which kind of therapy they want. Others know only that something isn’t working anymore, and that’s enough to start with.
Tell us what’s been going on, what you’ve already tried, and what you’d like to feel different. We’ll think it through with you and point you toward the therapist and the approach that fit.
You’ve done plenty of understanding already, and now it’s worth finding out what gets it moving.
